Clover.NET Editions
Clover.NET is available in three editions. Each edition has a different combination of features reflecting the different ways people use Clover.NET. Should you require assistance working out which license or combination of licenses is right for you, do not hesitate to email sales@cenqua.com.
Workstation Edition
Clover.NET Workstation Edition is the entry level version of Clover.NET. Workstation Edition enables a developer to use Clover.NET to gather coverage information for her project and to view that coverage in the Visual Studio IDE. A Workstation Edition license is required for each machine on which Clover.NET is executed1.
Server Edition
Clover.NET Server Edition is ideally suited to teams where the primary use of Clover.NET is report generation in a continuous integration environment. Clover.NET Server Edition provides HTML reporting functionality. A license is required for each machine that produces instrumented code or generates reports with Clover.NET1.
Team Edition
Clover.NET Team Edition is designed for teams that are serious about their coverage. Clover.NET Team Edition includes all Clover.NET functionality. Additionally it is licensed by user rather than machine. In practice this means you can use any Clover.NET feature whenever you want, wherever you want. A Clover.NET Team Edition license is required for each user. Once the base pack (which includes a 5 user license) is purchased, extra user licenses may be added for a small incremental fee.
Support & Maintenance
Clover.NET includes 12 months support with each license purchased. Customers who purchased a 1.x license may use their existing licenses with Clover 2.0 until April 2007.
Non-Commercial Licenses
Cenqua provides free licenses for Clover.NET to open source and academic users. To qualify for an open source Clover.NET license, you need to publish your source under a recognized open source license. To qualify for an academic license you must either provide or undertake a software-related course at a recognized educational institution.
1 Licenses are not required for the execution of instrumented applications. Licenses are required for instrumentation and reporting. Read the full text of the license.
