Clover 1.x is available in three editions. Each edition has a different combination of features reflecting the different ways people use Clover. Should you require assistance working out which license or combination of licenses are right for you, do not hesitate to email sales@cenqua.com.
“Clover quickly pays for itself many times over by helping you find and fix bugs sooner. The cost of fixing a defect in production code can be up to 60-100 times more than the cost of fixing it during development.”
Workstation Edition
Clover Workstation Edition is the entry level version of Clover. Workstation Edition enables a developer to use Clover to gather coverage information for her project and report with the Clover swing GUI browser or any of the IDE plugins. A Clover Workstation Edition license is required for each machine that Clover is executed on*. Clover Workstation Edition is $250 per machine.
Server Edition
Clover Server Edition is ideally suited to teams where the primary use of Clover is report generation in a continuous integration environment. Key features in Clover Server Edition are HTML and historical reporting functionality. A Clover license is required for each machine that produces instrumented code or generates reports with Clover*. Clover Server Edition is $1500 per machine.
Team Edition
Clover Team Edition is designed for teams that are serious about their coverage. Clover Team Edition includes all Clover functionality. Additionally it is licensed by user rather than machine. In practice this means you can use any Clover feature whenever you want, wherever you want. A Clover Team Edition license is required for each user, however, after the base pack (which includes a 5 user license) is purchased, extra user licenses are just $100 each. Clover Team Edition Base Pack (5 User License) is $2500.
Note: *Licenses are not required for the execution of instrumented applications. Licenses are required for instrumentation and reporting. Read the full text of the license .
